The Benefits of Lifestyle Coaching

Lifestyle Motivational Coaching is a permanent solution to overcoming negative lifestyle behaviors. The
potential success rate is very high. Here is why. There are hundreds of ways to lose weight, exercise or
become healthier. The reason why most of us do not succeed is because we don't do it! We start out on
a lifestyle program with an action plan, goals and total motivation. Then, as momentum wanes, life
gets in the way and temptations get the best of us, we don't follow through with our good intentions.
The Lifestyle Change process is not about making one big decision, but hundreds of decisions along
the way, each one impacting the overall outcome. By aligning yourself with a Lifestyle Coach, support
can be there every step of the way to keep you on track.

By partnering with me, I can be there to support you in your journey, to keep you motivated, help you
answer the tough questions and help you face your underlying obstacles like excuses, denial, blame,
bad habits and fear. I focus on Awareness, Acknowledgement and Accountability to guide you through
the change process. Together, we can overcome all of your obstacles and help you achieve your
weight, health and lifestyle goals.

Lifestyle Coaching is only successful if you are truly ready to make the commitment to change your
habits - forever. To consider if lifestyle coaching will benefit you, ask yourself these questions:

· Have you tried over and over again to change your negative lifestyle behaviors without lasting

· Are you willing to spend some time evaluating, honestly, the obstacles that are keeping you from
change?
· Are you ready to let go of the dieting mindset and open up to the possibility that you may at some
point naturally make better choices without effort? That it becomes who you are and not what you are
pretending to be?
· Are you willing to forge ahead in spite of setbacks and difficult times until you succeed?
· Are you ready to "live" healthy and not just try to "be" healthy?


How Does It Work?

First off, we need to get to know each other to make sure we are good coaching partners. We can do
this in person or by phone. I will ask a lot of questions about your health and lifestyle history, your
current habits and attempts at changing them and talk about what goals you would like to set.
Together, we will decide on your short and long-term goals that can be modified as we go along.

We stay in continuous communication either in person, by phone or e-mail to keep track of your
progress and provide education and morale support. Most of all, honesty, is paramount to success. We
need to be open enough to talk about the good, and the bad. If you have slipped with your progress or
are having fears or doubts, I will be there to support you and get you back on track - as long as I know
what's going on, I can help.

The Power of E-mail Support

I am a big fan of E-mail supported coaching. Why? Because sending me an email is like sending it to
yourself - it's automatic journaling. You can send me an email when you are looking for better choices
at your favorite restaurant, or when you experience a profound thought that you want to discuss but
don't want to wait until we see each other again. You can send me an email at 2:00 in the morning as
you are heading for a binge - it can stop the action, or at least help you become aware of what you are
doing. Even if I am not there to give you immediate feedback, the incident is documented and can be
discussed at a later time. Doesn't that make sense??

How Much Does It Cost?

Lifestyle Coaching is an investment in your self. My goal is not to keep you as a client indefinitely. My
job is to educate and motivate you and then, when you've "got it", set you free.
So you reap the
rewards of your investment for the rest of your life.

I can provide a program that fits your individual needs, your goals and your budget. The time table is
flexible based on your ability to adapt to your new behaviors. Sometimes it can take as little as a month
or it might take 6 months or longer. Typically, we will stick closely to each other for the first month or
two and then you can "wean" off of the program as your changes become life long habits you will not
break. One thing for sure is I will be there whenever you need me - so if you slip back and need
reinforcement, then we will work together to get you back on track.

I also offer
Find Your Balance Support Groups, similar to Weight Watchers, but the focus is not on
the scale, but of achieving moderation and balance. You can gather your friends, coworkers or
community organization for an intimate discussions group that is effective and affordable.
